Description

Ah, while I was writing down Chione's backstory, I forgot to upload this little gem. Ironically, she was one of the original sketches I had for Chione, but decided to make her a separate character that fights with darkness, as opposed to Chione. She had gone through many changes up until this point, and like with many of my characters, all of them may be subject to change. Similarly with Chione's picture, this is not an official reference sheet, but that of a simple sketch. She does not play a major role in Chione's story so say, but they do cross paths at a future point. It was very difficult changing what her Beyblade was for fear of seeming unoriginal, and everything in-between. After days of sketching and trashing ideas, I finally decided to just give it my all and make it believable. I hope you like her. Also, an asterisk (*) indicates an original character that has not been shown yet!

Personality:
[ ♡ | Studious | Quiet | Aloof | Intelligent | Logical | Pessimistic ]
[ ✖ | Cold | Perfectionist| Dark | Unfriendly | Rude | Insensitive ]
Upon first meeting Rea, one assumes she is the "quiet beauty" type. However, an extended period of meeting with Rea, one can conclude she is a very distant and cold character. Though she displays a false sense of sympathy and kindness, she is dark and very uncaring. Her words are harsh and she is blunt to the point of insensitivity. Despite her appearance, she is not as welcoming and accepting as one may believe.

Almost always quiet, her words are frigid when she does speak, and she does not react to much. Usually carrying an blank expression, her seriousness and professional attitude prevent her from developing any type of casual relationship with anyone she encounters. Even during battles with her Bey, she rarely speaks or moves, making her an intimidating opponent. Rea is a very serious person, so jokes and comedic remarks either fly over her or she dismisses it entirely. While her voice is soft and would seem friendly, her words are as sharp as knives.

She detests any forms or signs of weakness, and feels that networking among peers is a "waste of time" and "ludicrous". Because she thirsts power and wishes to be on top, she excludes those she sees as inferior and refuses to categorize herself with them. Rea takes immense pride in her skill, to the point of arrogance. Her comments and way of developing her skills are so "different" it creates a large barrier from her potentially making any friends. While she is aware of her life of solitude, she expects nothing more and has accepted being alone.

Rea is often indifferent on the current situation, and stays focused regardless of how chaotic or extreme events around her may be. Her expression is almost always neutral, and she has a habit of placing facts and logic over emotions. In some cases she can even be seen as emotionless because of how black and white she sees things. Of course, she is not a person to hastily assume or judge. She takes the time to learn about others and what is underneath.

When things do not go as expected, her personality does fluctuate, as she feels battles must be played in a "perfect" way. Her perfectionist methods are more than often disrupted or changed because of the spontaneous manner of Beyblading in general, much to her chagrin. In addition to things not going her way, because she is so awkward emotionally, she shuts herself down as a defense mechanism. When speaking about certain emotions she gets softer and could potentially fluster, but attempts to maintain her demeanor the best way she can.

Name: Frost Wyvern100MF
Bit-Beast: Dragon
Type: Attack
Constellation/Myth: Watatsumi ( 綿津見 ), a Japanese dragon and ocean deity in Japanese mythology.
Species: Water Spirit [Japanese Dragon]
Element: Ice
Special Move(s):
Freeze Shock is Frost Wyvern's first Special Move. It glows bright blue, almost white in colour, and sends a chilling, wide blast of ice towards the opponent to lock them in place while covering the platform. This signature move is to trap the opponent. During the ice blast, Frost Wyvern charges at them.
Raging Blizzard is Frost Wyvern's second Special Move. Frost Wyvern glows a bright blue while it summons a harsh, cold wind that carries through the area. The platform is covered in ice, and a large gale of ice and wind engulfs the opponent while Frost Wyvern quickly attacks it while being encoated in ice.
Dark Avalanche is Frost Wyvern's third Special Move. An amplified version of Raging Blizzard, a chilling temperature befalls the area as ample amounts of ice and snow fall onto the opponent while a dark pulse of energy surrounds Frost Wyvern in a burst attack.

History:
Born to a working family in Kalihi, Hawaii, Rea spent most of her childhood caring for and looking after her younger twin brother, Ren, while her parents worked. While the family was in no way wealthy, they weren't exactly poor, either. Though it was often her parents worked late nights and even in some cases, were absent, the family still stayed together as close as they could. Ren would introduce her into Beyblading through their peer group, an activity she greatly enjoyed.

It was difficult for the family once the twins would grow slightly older, as Rea's father's employer moved to Japan. Ultimately relocating, opportunities were greater in Japan than Hawaii, and believed would be a better lifestyle. It took some time for the family to adjust, though both twins discovered that Beyblading was ever-popular in Japan. Even though the scenery and lifestyle were different, a common activity would only strengthen their sibling bond.

During a family trip to the mall, young Rea was traumatized as her brother was taken from her due to a car accident. Her brother was pronounced dead, and Rea received minor injuries, some being the scars around her left eye. From that point on, her parents argued and did not get along. Constant fighting and domestic quarrels would cause Rea to slowly begin to hate them both. The divorce would cause Rea to live with her mother, and she would only see her father on occasion. Pent up aggression and harshness would fill Rea, and she never trusted or enjoyed the companies of others from that point on. She carries Ren's Bey with her as a lucky charm and token, and visits his grave-site often.

Rea found Blading as her only form of solace. Holding onto her feelings of guilt and frustration contributed to her having a more jaded and indifferent opinion on life. She has little to no friends because of this, though does not mind the solitude. The Bey she obtained was an Attack type, and she felt it was one of the strongest that would help her reach the top. She would slowly but surely develop a rather arrogant attitude, and be involved with the wrong crowd to "test her skills" on up and coming Bladers.

Unfortunately for her, her way of Blading was and is dark, even heartless, to the point where many refuse to battle her, for fear of their Beys "freezing". By this, she would purposely attempt to lock and break Beys through Frost Wyvern's first special move. She realized that she would only be a great Blader by professional and honorable ways, though continued to struggle to remain neutral.

Her battling would eventually draw attention from a specific few, mainly Doji, who offered to train and strengthen her with Dark Nebula. While she did not agree with expanding L-Drago's power, she desperately wanted to get stronger and was further confident in her abilities. Through this time she did not make friends, but did strengthen her "connection" with Frost Wyvern. It's appearance and power made Doji increasingly interested in having her as a member. Her drive to be the best is to make her late brother proud, though during her journey she has is proving more demanding than she originally planned.

R o m a n t i c ♡ I n t e r e s t:
Wang Da Xiang

The two were never meant to cross paths due to their separate parties and affiliations. Rea was with Dark Nebula around the time she would first discover the Chinese Team at the World Championships, and was disinterested in networking by any means. Upon arrival, she would go her own way and train by herself. Cautiously she would observe and analyze those around her, and purposely distanced herself from Team Gan Gan Galaxy. While many opportunities arose for her to have not only sparring matches, but words with opposite teams, she decided to keep a safe distance and support her organizations members.

Running into Masamune Kadoya, words would be exchanged, prompting the other members of Gan Gan Galaxy to follow. Team Wang Hu Zhong approached their opponents, in which Chi-yun Li questioned Rea's loyalties. Though she never gave an exact answer, she did accompany Ginga and his team through the multiple trials to strengthen their Beys and strength. Chi-yun Li disliked her attending, as she had not explained what her motives were, though Ginga commented that she wanted to learn, similarly to them. While she participated in only one activity, while Masamune and Ginga competed with one another, Mei Mei had commented that her Blading was very "distant, almost as if she and her Bey were in two separate places."

Though she barely spoke actual words to him, Da Xiang did notice that when she would "spar" with the Chinese Bladers, she was severely lacking. Her strength was evident, but he criticized her for not having an emotional connection with her partner. Coldly, she responded that her "connection" was enough to beat him, which followed as a match between the two. The fight was interrupted by an impetuous Masamune who wanted to spar with Da Xiang, resulting in the two to finish the battle at a later time. Her fighting style was observed by Chi-yun Li and Mei Mei, as well as Madoka and Ginga. Madoka commented that the way she battled was "dangerous".

While Rea was technically a lone Blader, she stayed with Dark Nebula because of her means of getting stronger. While at the Beylin Temple, she would engage only slightly with the vigorous training activities, disrespecting its teachings. In addition to speaking to Chi-yun Li, he disliked how rude and over confident she seemed, despite her abilities. Chi-yun Li did not trust her, a trait that would remain justified as a series of events would follow. As she was scolded by him to leave, Mei Mei and Da Xiang encouraged her to remain on the promise that she would fight "fairly" and "with pride and heart".

Ironically she would take an interest in teasing Masamune, that of which caused to lighten some of the tension that was evident between her and Gan Gan Galaxy. Often she would venture on her own, in which she did have a conversation with Da Xiang. Rea would not stay at the Beylin Temple for an elongated amount of time, but enough to admire the Chinese Team leader. Unfortunately for her, she was unaware that she would develop more than respect for the leader.

Alice Collins*

Alice was a high-ranking individual in an organization that, while has disbanded, created a lasting effect on Rea. She contorted Rea's views on the world, engulfing her into further darkness and needing to corrupt her to be her right-hand. Fortunately with the help of Ginga Hagane, she would remove herself from the dark Blader and the organization. The two share a twisted "sister" relationship, though Rea despises her.

Ginga Hagane

It wasn't until the World Championships that these two officially crossed paths. Ginga had greeted her, to which she rudely dismissed him, though continued to keep close eye on him. He was a very well-known Blader at this point, and she was highly interested in battling against him. The two would intially have short, non-progressive conversations due to her nature, which made his teammates dislike her. Almost as a threat, she declared that she would defeat him no matter the cost, which caused him to label her as a "rival". She was not used to these terms, confused by his overly friendly nature. Throughout the course of run-ins with him, an acquaintanceship would steadily appear.

Previously, Ginga saved Rea from a dishonorable Blader organization that would work under wraps in an attempt to destroy Beys. Ginga defeated Rea amongst the chaos they were creating and made her realize the danger and disruption she was causing. Of course, Ginga had a tough but interesting battle and encounter with Alice, eventually leaving the establishment. Rea in no way thanked Ginga openly, and quested why he did what he did, to which he responded on a positive note. She swore she would defeat him and "repay" him, as a means of her gratefulness.

Tsubasa Otori

Introduced by Ginga, both Tsubasa and Rea are on slightly amicable terms. From Rea's words, the "only one she can stand" is Tsubasa. Yu had commented it was because their "personalities are so much alike" that the two would like one another. Rea respects Tsubasa in terms of his strength and ambition. By chance she ran into the Blader and Ginga before observing certain fights within the World Championships.

Ryuuga

Rea would meet the Dragon Emperor through encounters with Doji. She admired his power, mainly because it reflected her own. He demonstrated abilities that she wished to obtain, and even beat. Ryuuga referred to her having a "false bravado", which almost instigated a battle between the two, though was dispersed. He had no official comment on her until watching her defeat a string of opponents. Ryuuga and Rea were by no means friends or what "they" considered as allies, though remain civil.
